The Whores' Asylum

The Whores' Asylum - Katy Darby The Whore Asylum by Katy Darby is a brilliant book and I just couldn`t put it down. I just loved Darby`s writing style from page one. Darby describes the Victorian England in this book with it`s beauty and downfalls, the differences between the rich and the very poor of society. The story is imaginative, athmospheric and the characters truly brought the story alive. The reader follows Anna Sadler`s life through Edward Fraser`s eye. The story has everything a good book needs, drama, brutality, mystery, friendship, loyalty, love and death.
